The Agricultural Commission is dedicated to preserving, revitalizing and sustaining our local farms and lands; encouraging the pursuit of agriculture as a career and lifestyle; promoting agricultural-based economic opportunities and pursuing all initiatives appropriate to creating a sustainable agricultural community in Pepperell.
In the months to come we will provide you with information about our local farmers: local dairy, organic produce, eating local foods, farm-stay food and lodging, farms and growers listings, farmers markets information, and how farmers are combatting climate change.
Being on a farm as a visitor, food consumer, neighbor, or friend is to enjoy a sense of community surrounded by the physical beauty of farm landscapes, and a connection of past to present. Farms sustain us in so many important ways that we understand them as critically important to our continued well-being.
So we dedicate this website to the farmers and their families who, through their hard work, knowledge and expertise, provide us with food - and so much more.
